The Reason Behind the Blog

Nursing Little A for 14 months, our now 2 year old daughter- was one of the most rewarding and difficult things I  could have done as a new parent. She was an attentive and demanding newborn, but quickly became more interested in the outside world than eating. My supply was also a  struggle. Through medications, recipes, herbs, tips & tricks, LC's, pumps, rebirths, old wives takes and anything else we could try, I  was able to nurse for 14 months. Now, due soon with Baby B, I'm armed with better knowledge and more accessible support, which I'd like to be able to share with women who also may be struggling. Within the first few posts my goal is to help people understand the truths behind low supply, (ie: roughly ONLY 5% of people have a  TRUE low supply. many women just haven't learned what a  good latch is or have another underlying health condition.) I'd also like to provide a  place where anyone can ask nursing-related questions and have them supported and answered to the best of my ability, and I'll try and get resources put up here quickly, too! Thank you for the support and I  wish us all luck on our nursing adventures!
